About Me

Feminism isn’t about making women stronger. Women are already strong. It’s about changing the way the world perceives that strength. – G.D. Anderson

Name: Caryn

Age: 26

This blog is my rambling reflections, and reactions to my various interests and activities. My background is I’m a former English literature and film studies student, currently working as a news journalist focusing on Nigeria and African news, I read a lot of almost everything, watch too much TV, and have been known to not be able to switch a movie off. I’m also a staunch feminist, very interested in politics, social justice, history and current events. I also spend my time volunteering as a leader at my youth group and it has formed a large part of who I am. When I’m not arguing about stuff in the news, I live in a fantasy world where all the fictional characters that I love are happy and alive.

The focus of my blog is to write about one thing each day that inspires or enrages me – something in the news, what I’ve read or watched, a thought that popped in my head, an experience I had or something I witnessed.
